No Erase Keyword

    ! and | switch alternative. This switch stops the drawing routines from erasing the previous contents of the screen. With DMDX's new comma frame delimiter for easily displaying text on multiple lines this switch's usefulness is diminished significantly.

    Should you wish to merge text with a previous display and have the area behind the text erased the <OnlyClearBehind> keyword should be used.

    <!> used to be a synonym of <NoErase> but has now been changed to a remark keyword synonym. NOTE: ! by itself (with no < >, i.e., not a keyword) is still a <NoErase> switch.
